Long approach routing over Lake Erie and S Ont. Textbook flight, except for a random low level alarm on final approach. Go around on first approach, then something went wrong with the autothrottle, so went around again, but this time got sent to Vermont before ATC lined me up again, then sent another plane 600' under the keel. Lots of orange and blue to welcome us in. Eastern seaboard lovely in the afternoon. No progressive taxi at KSYR, so had to pick a gate out of the dark.Įasy flight all the way. A little wobbly without the ILS guide, but came down ok and landing was good, if a bit long. Mid-length taxi.īusy airspace over Orlando - several near misses with crisscrossing traffic, including a 757 that flew nearly right under the nose at FL295. A little fast on the landing, but lots of runway so not too hard on the brakes. Jazz ahead slow to clear the runway, but just in time. Landed Rwy10 fine, but unnerving to see other aircraft landing crosswind. Busy Chicago in a jet quite a change from the quiet of the Scandinavian north in a tiny propeller plane.Įasy flight. Missed ILS on first go, found it and landed nicely. Maintenance is going to want to check the left landing gear strut. Went around once in the mountains, then hit the runway hard after a 90 degree turn just shy of its end. The approach to Aspen from the south is insane. Took some adjusting but got there in the end. Nice to hear Pacifica and Orbit Airlines back in the air.Įasy flight, flying the mac now on parallels. Quick and easy flight over the mountains. Touched down left of centre, lots of rolling and dipping, but eased the last foot, which of course is all that counts. Final over those dock cranes to 4L was as always a little nerve-wracking. Quick hop over the UK and visual onto 36L at EHAM. Spectacular view of the city on approach. Not a lot of reserve fuel left in this 738. Approach ok, but missed the final ILS signal and had to land manually, rather harder than ideal. Will have to paint it the proper colours now though. The old POSKY 757 didn't really work, so I found a Justflight one instead. Very long taxi around an empty, but gorgeous airport. Approach was straightforward, final good, landing awesome. Night flight around the edge of the Himalayas. Short taxi to surprisingly large and busy terminal. Odd approach at UHHH, but eventually lined up and landed ok. Uneventful flight through North Korean, then Chinese air space. Gorgeous view of the Sea of Okhotsk, then of the Bering, before coming down into the moonrise into PANC. Leaving flat Siberia behind and coming home to Alaska. Need to fix the elevation for KSEA.įirst Cat B flight over the Pacific. Long routing via the AK panhandle, then loop over the Olympic Peninsula. Old stomping grounds in the freight yards. Odd line up on final resulted in hard landing. Not greatest landing, but nice to be home. Final ok, except for overtaking by random 747. All quiet, but ATC sent us excruciatingly low on approach. Descent over PWS and left at Palmer, then smooth down to Rwy 14. Very long taxi - last possible cargo parking at very end of airport. Fellow walking around the gate as I tried to park would have made a mess of the engines when he got sucked in. Final was a bit right of centre, landing was positive, but I don’t think I broke anything. Will have to learn to use the flight computer more carefully. The approach was wild – no more automatic ATC to guide to waypoints. Graphics are lovely, but wow it’s going to take a while to get the hang of the new cockpit controls. Love the white 320 paint job!įirst flight with the new MSFS in a 320 with the new paint job. ILS easy to engage, but the FMS is still going to take a while to figure out. Meantime, easy approach to the MSFS Bali, textbook landing. Fun to see the spot I was meant to go for real on Palawan, before the pandemic hit. Nice flight over the Philippines and Indonesia. Flight colors: blue = approved, green = pending approval, red = rejected
